The 5th IFS event will take place at Somerset House between the 19th and 23rd February 2016. Bonaveri will take part once again in this annual event on the London Fashion Week schedule in its capacity as ‘sponsor’ and ‘Official Mannequin Supplier’ of the event.
Bonaveri will supply to all the 25 participating countries approximately 100 mannequins from the Schläppi 2200 and 3000 ranges.
The British Council and the British Fashion Council will present work by emerging fashion designers from 25 countries curated around the theme of ‘Utopia’. The annual event now forms a key part of LFW’s public facing programme which celebrates relevance of fashion in contemporary culture. For IFS 16 the West Wing at Somerset House will be transformed into an imaginary terrain, designed by Hatty Ellis Coward, where an emerging generation of international designers and curators invite visitors to share their Utopian vision.
The exhibition will be arranged over 15 galleries, 14 of which will represent a country. There will be one group installation, ‘Next in Line’, curated by Shonagh Marshall and sponsored by Bonaveri which will feature designers from 10 further nations. Bonaveri will supply Aloof mannequins for this section.
As part of the event, there will be a prize-giving ceremony. Bonaveri will this year sponsor The Curator Award. The panel is headed by Sarah Mower ( Ambassador for Emerging Talent and European Editor-at-Large of Vogue.com) and by a panel of fashion industry experts, awards will also be given to the winning Country and Designer.
This all highlights, once again, Bonaveri’s continuing support of global young fashion talents and working closely with our distributor, Blue Studio, we are pleased to be once again involved with this event.
