SICIS, the Italian makers of fine mosaics have introduced a new range of jewellery as well as their Caravaggio JT watch collection at Baselworld, using Aloof and miniature Schläppi 2200 mannequins from Bonaveri.

SICIS are renowned for their intricate glass mosaics and have developed a range of jewellery and watches using combinations of gold, precious gems and micro-mosiacs.

Micro and nano-mosaic jewellery is an ancient and elaborate technique dating back to the early 6th and 7th centuries. Examples of works from this time still exist in the Vatican Museum and Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg. Organisations like SICIS and Bonaveri place significant emphasis on maintaining this type of craft alive.

Recently SICIS exhibited a new collection in Basel on the occasion of the world famous Baselworld Watch and Jewellery Show. Using Aloof and miniature Schläppi 2200 figures, SICIS created a display that perfectly showcases their work.
