Bonaveri has supplied bespoke Bonaveri Sartorial female bust forms for the Jason Wu Spring / Summer 2019 Presentation during New York Fashion Week.

The static installation designed by Emma Davidge of Chameleon Visual included 10 hanging and 6 standing female Sartorial bust forms. Each of the bust forms was supplied with bespoke metals, woods and fabrics for a subdued creative effect. Bonaveri covered the torso and forearms using a simple cotton fabric and matched this with raw wood for the arms and hands along with a bronze metal for the neck caps.

The static Jason Wu Spring / Summer 2019 Presentation uses mannequins in favour of traditional runway models allowing for more focus on detail. In one section of the presentation, bust forms are elegantly suspended over a backdrop of flowers. In another part of the display, bust forms stand within a halo of white light. The effect is both dramatic and dreamlike with the headless bust forms adding to the ethereal mood.

It’s about 16 dresses that define who I am – Jason Wu

This latest presentation by Chameleon Visual follows on from last year’s SS18 show for Jason Wu called GREYOUT and shows the designers curiosity with alternative presentations. Bonaveri supplied TRIBE mannequins for GREYOUT and for 2019 has returned to New York Fashion Week with bespoke Sartorial bust forms for the award-winning designer.
