Bonaveri | Bonaveri Bust forms used during Milan Modo Uomo SS/18

White – Man and Woman in collaboration with Albini Fabrics has exhibited a collection of special edition white shirts using Bonaveri’s bust forms at Milan Modo Uomo Spring Summer 2018.

The exhibition titled, ‘White Essentials – Style & Material in the White Shirt’ features a collection of garments by 15 designers using Albini Fabrics and displayed using a series of male and female bust forms with articulated wooden arms.

The 10 male and 8 female bust forms were supplied with timber bases and stands with matching timber articulated arms and a Calico fabric cover. The natural materials and colour of the wood all symbolise the achievements made by Italian manufacturers and especially the natural cotton used by the designers and supplied by The Albini Group. The focus of the exhibition is on the colour white and explores the contribution made by Italian designers and producers in achieving high standards in the design and manufacture of material for garments.

Bonaveri continues to lend support to organisations and events such as this at Milan Modo Uomo, where both talent and Italian traditions are at the forefront of cutting edge style and technique. Each of the 15 designers chosen has delivered their own interpretation of the classic white shirt, delivering their message through a particular cut or fabric. However, the important message is that Italian craftsmanship continues and is able to lead the way, even in the most basic of garments; the white shirt.
