Bonaveri continues its support of young talent by providing Milano Moda with male and female mannequins from various Schläppi collections. This is the second year that Bonaveri has participated in this event. All of the mannequins supplied feature a clean, matt white finish that places an emphasis on the garments and creates a striking display in the interior of BASE Milano.
The exhibition of mannequins and garments formed part of a larger schedule of two-day events to celebrate and promote Italian fashion schools excellence. Over 240 young designers from 16 Italian fashion schools took part in a packed schedule that saw a coming together of talent, displayed in the static exhibition, runway shows, and talks. Over 800 garments were displayed at the event with 5 awards being delivered to participating schools and students. As a fashion exposé, the event highlights the enormous talent rising from Italy’s fashion education establishments.
Maintaining Italy’s strong position in fashion education is a priority for the organisers. The event is now held annually since 2015 and includes institutes of fashion, education and academia in a two-day program designed to bring awareness of young new talent in the industry. This year, the show jury included prominent designers, journalists and fashion industry ambassadors including, Angela Missoni, Creative Director of Missoni, Caroline Rush, CEO of the British Fashion Council and Sarah Maino, Senior Editor of Vogue Italia.
