Fashion Education | Fashion Presentation | Istituto Marangoni | Milan

The exhibition 'Trends Meet Tradition' using Bonaveri bust forms crafted by the students of the Istituto Marangoni, is now coming to a close at BONAVERIMILANO.

Words by Ian Thompson | 07 April 2016

The work exhibited by each of the participating students describes their forecasts for 2017 trends in fashion styling. The four defined categories were ‘Edgelands, Digital Wave, Encounter cultures and Pause’ – with each of the displays featuring imaginative interpretations of one particular theme. Each student was given a bust form and set about transforming it to deliver their 2017 trend message.

During the week, students of the Master in Photography course, compiled ‘work diaries’ featuring explanatory processes used during the creative exercise. Some of these diaries are available to view as short length videos and slideshows to be published shortly on our socials.

As the exhibition draws to a close, these images from our showroom in Milan are a reminder of the incredible young talent that Bonaveri aims to support during the year. The student’s displays are on show until the 8th of April, in amongst the Aloof and Noble mannequins, and our giant Schläppi.
