We have worked this year with Zara in creating an installation in the foyer of the Corso Vittorio Emanuele 11 store and with students from the Creative Academy who have designed an exhibit at the Albergo Diurno Venezia, Piazza Oberdan, Milano. At BONAVERIMILANO you can say hello to our team and view our latest collections in amongst the feet of our Schläppi Giant.

Milan welcomes over a quarter of a million visitors from more than 150 countries during the event. The design week is the largest trade fair of its kind in the world and takes place in the heart of Milan, not far from the home of Bonaveri. The creative spirit of the design week shares its origins with Bonaveri’s DNA when it started out in 1961 as a fair showcasing Italian design. Our featured image above is the very first design for the 1961 fair catalogue.

The current show takes place in the FieraMilano complex in the Milan metropolitan area of Rho. It occupies an area of nearly 230,000 square metres and includes some 2500 companies, along with 700 young designers at the Salone Satellite, a secondary exhibit. The city is abuzz with visitors to these satellite events and you can catch Bonaveri at these three exhibitions taking place during the fair.

ZARA’s flagship store on Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Milano, will be unveiling their latest installation in this impressive lobby titled ‘Due righe di sinossi’ which literally translated means ‘The synopsis of two lines’. Zara uses our new Aloof mannequins for their installations and always keeps the design under wraps until the opening day. Visit the store to see the Bonaveri mannequins unveiled in what is to be a very special installation during Salone del Mobile.

Twenty students from Creative Academy, the international school of design of Richemont Group, came together with Alberto Nespoli and Domenico Rocca to design a capsule collection inspired by wellness, merging creativity and craftsmanship. Mannequins from the Schläppi 2200 collection will feature as part of their exhibit. The event takes place in the ‘Albergo Diurno Venezia’ – a restored elegant service centre for travellers built between 1923 and 1925, designed by architect Piero Portaluppi. The original space housed baths for weary travellers with a barber for men and a ladies’ hairdresser, manicure and pedicure room.
