Our China and Hong Kong team hosted an opening party on Monday evening to celebrate the event.
The new showroom is located in the French Concession district of the city and features a wonderful roof-top terrace with views over the city. The showroom space has been fitted out with trademark Bonaveri features including wonderfully warm coloured walls, images from the Bonaveri Italy archive and a screen featuring videos of our artists and sculptors at work. For the event, Aloof and Noble mannequins from our new Schläppi Collection were given pride of place and dressed in elegant gowns from Shiatzy Chen, a long-time client of Bonaveri.
The new showroom spearheads the efforts by Bonaveri to promote bespoke Italian design in China and strengthen the partnerships we are making with high-end Chinese fashion labels. Guests attending the opening represent a cross section of this vibrant market and really do illustrate a continuing interest in European design and manufacturing quality. Coupled with that is a remarkable explosion of local talent that is driving a creative renaissance in Chinese fashion and visual merchandising. Our initial exploration in Shenzen made this clear to us early on and the new Shanghai showroom is a natural extension of this developing market.
We are excited about the new possibilities and relationships that we expect to see develop over the next few years from the Shanghai team and would like to thank all of those who’s exceptional ideas and efforts have made this showroom a reality. We look forward to inviting more guests to our latest Bonaveri home.
