Milan, 20–26 April 2026 — Bonaveri presents “We dream in colour, we celebrate craft” at its Milan showroom during Milan Design Week 2026. Curated by Emma Davidge, the travelling exhibition is designed as an immersive experience, showcasing the debut of Bonaveri Décor and the Studio Collection, a new range of Sartorial mannequins. Framed as a dialogue between colour, materiality, and artisanal expertise, the display explores the house’s evolving creative language while remaining rooted in its heritage.
In February 2026, Italian luxury mannequin house Bonaveri deviated from the traditional exhibition hall at EuroShop by creating a smaller, more intimate installation at their Düsseldorf showroom titled ‘Wedreamincolour, we celebrate craft’. This installation is now returning to its home in Italy, at their Milan showroom for Design Week.
There will be 29 items on display in total: 11 Décor objects, 11 podiums, 5 bespoke Studio Collection mannequins, alongside 2 giant objects from the archives. Their latest venture, Bonaveri Décor, debuts ‘The 10 Collection’, a series of carefully curated objects designed through the lens of a collector. The collection was curated by their Artistic Director, Emma Davidge, in collaboration with Andrea and Tommaso Bonaveri. Each object embodies the company’s DNA, linked to 75 years of archives maintained by the Bonaveri family. Each of the 10 Décor objects rests on a bespoke podium designed to complement it; however, each podium can also be used with any Décor object or as a standalone display. Each podium has its own inspiration and story.
Davidge, inspired by the current best-selling mannequins, Sartorial, grew bored with the typical calico and linen upholstery. She aimed to ignite clients’ imaginations by transforming traditional, ordinary upholstery into something extraordinary, something couture. Using the art of moulage, she reshaped the upholstery of the female form and created a new range, ‘The Studio Collection’, which, at first glance, appears to be dressed; upon closer inspection, it becomes clear she employed a trompe l’oeil effect, challenging the atelier to incorporate clothing into the mannequin’s upholstery pattern.
The installation celebrates colour, whether through an unexpected mannequin skin tone, a splash of Bonaveri Red, or the texture and material of an object. Every item in the room is carefully considered and challenges the artisans’ craft, skill, precision, and innovation. Davidge pushed the boundaries subtly and powerfully, recognising and honouring the hands and minds that created each piece. It is a tribute to Bonaveri. The exhibition lives up to its name by celebrating the talented artisans and artists who work for the company, showcasing their skills, pushing boundaries, and inspiring guests to dream a little.
The exhibition will run from 20th to 26th April to celebrate Milan Design Week, but will remain open for public viewing until 30th April.
