Bonaveri recently hosted a day of events for Swiss fashion students from the Zurich-based Schweizerische Textilfachschule at our Headquarters in Cento, Italy.

Words by Ian Thompson | 06 December 2016

These day events form part of our initiative to support young talent in the visual and fashion design curricula through the support of our international distributors and leading global academies. Previous events include sessions with students from the Domus Academy and Istituto Marangoni in Milan and Central St. Martins in London.

Students are invited to tour the Bonaveri factory and showroom to get a better understanding of the complexities and technology behind creating our mannequin collections. This may often be the first time students are brought into contact with a wider industry catering to the needs of fashion designers and retail stores. There are plenty of opportunities for students to witness the creativity behind Bonaveri’s work with a workshop involving tours of the sculpture atelier and product finishing studios. At the end of the day, students leave us with enhanced knowledge of the business creativity and practice behind our collections.

The day’s events were organised in collaboration with the Schweizerische Textilfachschule in Zurich and our Swiss Distributor, Igloi AG.
